Patriot Riders make wishes come true

PORT CHARLOTTE — When the residents of the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home were making their Christmas wish list, the last thing Tim Key, president of the Patriot Riders of America Charlotte County chapter, expected to find on the list was a Vegas-style slot machine.

“But that’s what they wanted, so we said, ‘OK,’” Key said with a little smile and a shrug.
