PORT CHARLOTTE — Motorcycle riders with the American Legion Riders, the Vietnam Brotherhood, the Patriot Riders and the Patriot Guard escorted a model of the Vietnam Wall Memorial from Port Charlotte High School to American Legion Post 110 Wednesday.
Seniors in Ken Smith’s drafting class at Port Charlotte High School helped to fabricate the model. The mini wall, which will be unveiled to the public at the Florida International Air Show over the weekend, will be used to raise money to build a Vietnam Wall Memorial at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda.
