ENGLEWOOD — If things don’t change for next year’s boat race, one local business owner is going to rally others and complain to Charlotte County commissioners.

Jill Hemmes, owner of Beach Boutique in Englewood, said not only did she lose money during the recent three-day Charlotte Harbor Super Boat Grand Prix, but was forced to close her Jet Ski rental on Sunday.
