The precautionary boil water notice for businesses affected by this week’s water main break in Murdock was lifted Thursday morning by Charlotte County Utilities. The notice was rescinded following the satisfactory completion of two consecutive samples of the bacteriological survey showing that the water is safe for human consumption and for cooking, according to a press release from CCU. Customers were notified in person.
The businesses affected were Burger King, Applebee’s, Murphy’s Oil, Walmart, Busey Bank, Target/Starbucks, Hess Express, Denny’s, Hooter and Arby’s.
