PUNTA GORDA — City and county officials held a dedication ceremony Friday for one of the more important additions to the community — a shiny new ambulance.

“It’s a great rig,” said Charlotte County Firefighter/EMT Ryan Gage, whose crew often utilizes the vehicle — Advanced Life Support Rescue 9. “It rides nice, and everything is brand new. This is a great asset for Charlotte County.”
