Pets, owners can breathe easier

Charlotte County pet owners can breathe a sigh of relief now that all fire engines will carry pet oxygen masks.

“In my 20 years in the fire service, I’ve seen several (pets) die in fires,” said Punta Gorda Fire Chief Ray Briggs. “This could have saved some of them.”
