Though early votes cast for Charlotte County’s 2014 primary election were down 41 percent from the last non-presidential primary election, officials aren’t worried about today’s voter turnout.
“The numbers don’t mean anything until after (today),” said Lou Spacco, spokesman for the Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections office. “So we just want to encourage people to come out and vote.”
