Charlotte County voters have given longtime School Board member Lee Swift the chance to serve what the 66-year-old has said will be his sixth and last term.
The incumbent of the District 1 seat, Swift defeated challenger Anthony Peter Verdin, 27, in Tuesday’s primary election. Swift pulled in 66 percent of the votes in the two-man, nonpartisan race.
