Swift maintains School Board post

Charlotte County School Board veteran Lee Swift had plenty of votes to retain his seat for a sixth term with 66.3 percent (11,842) of the vote. Anthony Verdin had 33.6 percent (6,005) in this nonpartisan race.

Rob Hancik, a former airport manager from Springfield, Mo., won a the primary race for the Charlotte County Airport Authority Board, unseating five-term member Don Lee.
