PUNTA GORDA — Despite several controversial votes in the months leading up to Tuesday’s primary election, both Charlotte County Commission incumbents were victorious Tuesday in their respective Republican races.

District 4 Commissioner Stephen R. Deutsch easily won over challengers David Ivankovic and Jason Stoltzfus. Similarly, Commissioner Chris Constance overcame a strong showing by tea party favorite Paula Schaff in District 2.
