Robert Victor Nystrom, 92, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, surrounded by loving family at his home in Punta Gorda Isles, Fla.
He was born to in Norway, Mich., Victor and Edna Nystrom.
Robert attended Lawrence College in Appleton, Wis., where he met his wife Donna (nee Green) Nystrom. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant during World War II.
Robert attended law school at Kent College of Law. After graduation, he began a long legal career in Chicago, Ill., with a firm founded by Charles E. Green. The firm represented Motorola for many years. Following the death of his first wife, Robert retired and relocated to Punta Gorda Isles. He then married Collete R. Nystrom, who passed in 1994.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Bettie F. Clarke Nystrom; daughters, Luanne (Richard) Makowski, Jamie (Thomas) Shuler and Karen (George) Boulahanis; son, Mark (Anne) Nystrom; 10 exceptional grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
