Paul “Tater” E. Harris Jr., 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Ocala, Fla.
He was born March 1, 1927, in Lafayette, Ind., to Paul E. Sr. and Carol (nee Scott) Harris.
Paul moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 from Lafayette. He was a retired Tool and Dye Maker, a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Indiana, Life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O. Elks, member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus and a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Paul is survived by his son, Brent (Lisa); sister, Nancy Roff; grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin, Nicholas, Katherine, Aaron and Cody; and great-grandchild, Landon. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki; and a son, “Spud”.
Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Vizcaya Club House in Port Charlotte. Private cremation will take place in Lecanto, Fla.
