Nicholas Anthony Puccini, 87, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte.
He was born Feb. 4, 1927, at Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, N.Y., and moved to Port Charlotte in 1995 from Hawthorne, N.Y.
Nicholas was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Nicholas is survived by his loving family, including two sons, Michael G. Puccini and Nicholas V. Puccini; brother, Ralph L. Puccini; sister, Toni-Ann Puccini Riley; four grandchildren, Michael Puccini, Alexandra Puccini, Jonathan Puccini and Alicia Puccini; three nephews; and one niece.
Memorial services celebrating the life of Nicholas will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 24552 Buckingham Way, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Interment and military honors by the U.S. Navy will be held at a later date in New Rochelle, N.Y.
