Frances Morine Hopper Brown

Frances Morine (nee Hopper) Brown, 67, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Cumberland County, Ky., passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

She was born March 23, 1947, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Marshall and Mamie (nee Sharp) Hopper.

Frances was a member of the Christian Church and the Church of Christ in Port Charlotte. She was a very accomplished woman. Frances was a well-gifted seamstress, knitter, and crocheter, winning several coveted awards. She was a talented artist and served as a staff artist at Missions Services in Kempton, Ind., for a few years. Frances was a homemaker and a marvelous cook who could do everything. She married her husband, Larry Brown, Saturday, May 18, 1963.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Brown of Port Charlotte; her children, Steven Tobias “Toby” Brown of Fairland, Ind., John Brown of Goshen, Ind., and Kathy Fuss of Wisconsin; three grandsons; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with The Rev. Paul Patton officiating. Burial will be in the Stalcup Cemetery in Cumberland County. Online condolences at www.norris-new.com.
