PUNTA GORDA — It wasn’t the first goal in 143 minutes against Charlotte High School that the Pirates’ McKenna Sultan remembered. It was the second that came a few moments later.

Tarpons keeper Jessie Valerius came out of the box to clear a ball and her clearance ricocheted off Sultan and bounced softly into the Charlotte net 64 minutes into the contest. The goals lifted the Pirates over the Tarpons 2-0 on Friday.
