VENICE — Venice High School coach Larry Sandburg told his team before Tuesday night’s Region 6A-3 semifinal that one hit or one mistake would be the difference. Sandburg proved prophetic as an error allowed North Fort Myers to edge the Indians 4-3 in 12 innings.

The Red Knights took a 3-1 lead in the fourth and the Indians came back to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh. Neither team made a real threat to score until the Kaylee Morgan led off the 12th with a double.
