SEBRING — As residents prepare to pull their final load of debris to the curb this weekend, Highlands County officials want that debris placed properly, so it will get collected.
Now, more than two months since Hurricane Irma, most people should have finished clearing their property of storm debris, said County Engineer Clinton Howerton Jr. He also wants to have debris collection crews finished by Dec. 15, so he set a deadline of Monday to have storm debris out by the county roadways.
