‘Zero money offered to teachers,’ negotiator says

SEBRING — Contract talks between The School Board of Highlands County and the teachers and school support personnel unions have yet to settle issues such as wages, with the district offering no increases for teachers, according to a negotiator, and a 1 percent pay increase for school support personnel.

Concerning teacher pay, the district noted merit programs at the state level that will be rewarding some teachers.
