LAKE PLACID — Keith Goodson’s artwork can be seen all over Lake Placid; his murals grace the walls of many businesses in the uptown area. Now, art lovers can take in the “Light of the World” masterpiece on display at First Presbyterian Church’s Genesis Center through December at 218 E Belleview St.

“Light of the World” is a massive 36-by-13-foot tall painting, depicting the nativity scene with the Holy Family and Christ child. According to Goodson, the painting is about four years old. It was first unveiled at Virginia Beach, Virginia, at the 50th anniversary of the Christian Broadcasting Network with Pat Robertson. It then traveled to Orlando and was on display at the Holy Land Experience for the past three years. Goodson got the painting back around six months ago.
