Fake pedigree papers lead to arrest

SEBRING — When a woman responded to an ad in 2016 and bought a Siberian Husky puppy for $750 in Sebring, she received what she initially believed was the proper paperwork indicating the dog had its vaccinations and was examined by a veterinarian, according to a warrant affidavit.

But after she found it odd that the dog had fleas, she became suspicious and learned the paperwork was for another dog.
