SEBRING — When Charlie Wiggins, a World II veteran, participated in a Rotary Club Freedom Flight recently, he was overwhelmed with the recognition he and other local veterans received, he recalled Thursday.

Many lined up, thanking, cheering and saluting the veterans on the Freedom Flight as they arrived in Tampa on their way to Washington D.C., he said. And in Washington D.C., the veterans had an opportunity to visit one monument after another.
