DUNDEE — Eight volunteers from the Church on the Hill in Dundee arrived in Guatemala June 2 just hours before the first volcanic explosion.

Their mission was to join Winter Haven’s Parkland Baptist Church in its efforts to build houses for residents there. However, after explosive eruptions last Sunday and Tuesday, the eight volunteers from the Church on the Hill, along with the seven from Parkland Baptist, also assisted in relief efforts.
