SEBRING — Mitigation, preparedness, “go kits,” hurricane guides, spaghetti models; those were all words overheard by visitors walking through the Lakeshore Mall on Friday at the Hurricane Preparedness Expo. Hundreds of guests arrived at the event and were able to talk to experts in a wide variety of industries and get individual answers to their questions about storm mitigation and being better prepared this year than they were for and during Hurricane Irma last September.

Don’t worry if you missed Friday, the free event will continue today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fox 13 News Meteorologist Dave Osterberg is expected to take the stage at 10:30 a.m. today.
