LAKE PLACID — Once again, the Lake Placid Police Department is looking out for the safety of its youngest residents. This time it is doing so by training babysitters to be ready in an emergency.

The police force is holding its third babysitter course at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 at the Holiday Inn Express, 608 S. Lakeview Road, in Lake Placid. This free class will last about an hour and a half.
