SEBRING — Former Polk County Judge Gerald P. Hill II has been appointed to the 10th Judicial Circuit Court. This has left a vacant seat at Polk County. Several candidates have applied for the Polk County position, including a Highlands County assistant public defender.
The 10th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will have 15 applications to work through and interview. The interviews will by conducted by the commission beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 20 and run through the day. The interviews will take place at the firm of Peterson & Myers, P.A. in Lakeland.
