Christmas sneaked up on me, so when the visiting college student suggested a holiday shopping excursion, I thought shopping the Saturday before Christmas might jump-start my holly jollies.
Our pre-Christmas Westgate Mall trip was an eye-opening reminder of all the things we don’t have locally. It was rife with traffic and gridlock, a serious lack of parking and so many people. I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if we had these offerings locally.
