“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

I make no apologies for the daily emphasis placed on God’s holy word in our lives. Hebrews 4:12 reads, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Thus, it is God’s desire that we all be a Bible-totin’, Scripture-quotin’ people, so we each can be saved from our sins by obeying the message revealed to us in that good book. However, as we begin a new year, let us resolve not to treat our Bibles like the one described in the diary below:
