You are frustrated because you had carpal tunnel surgery and your hand still hurts. There are many causes — pinched nerve in the neck, swelling in the nerve, incomplete release, scar tissue or another overlapping hand problem.
About 20-30 percent of people have a pinched nerve in the neck, in addition to the pinching of the median nerve in the wrist. Many respond to physical therapy.
