Sponsors sought for ‘Race to Taste Gala’

SEBRING –– Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are available for the third annual “Race to Taste Gala,” a social evening celebrating the Mobile 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueeled by Fresh From Florida race festivities. Featured will be wines, beers and hors d’oeuvres native to several race-themed countries, a silent auction, a dessert bar, music, art, and race-inspired fun.

The event will be Saturday, Feb. 25, from 6-9 p.m. at the Sebring Civic Center with proceeds benefiting art education. Sponsorship opportunities range from $250 to $5,000.

“The Race to Taste Gala is a first class event that brings the community together to kick off and celebrate the annual 12 Hours of Sebring,” said Sebring Mayor John Shoop, who will be the emcee for the event. “Attendees are treated to a night of ‘dining around the world’ right here in Sebring to celebrate our international racing weekend.”

Attendees will sample wine, beer and culinary tastings from countries such as Australia, Italy and France. Tastings are included with ticket prices. A cash liquor bar will be available on site.

Tickets are limited and priced at $50 for HAL members with advance purchase and $60 for non-members and at the door while available. Complimentary tickets are available for Platinum Level Art League members. Attire is dressy cocktail.

Funds raised will allow future growth and opportunity for HAL’s efforts to continue to bring art and culture to the Highlands County area, particularly kids’ art education. The mission of HAL is to encourage emerging and evolving artists of all ages and to positively impact our community through the celebration and exploration of the arts.

HAL, a 501 c3 non profit organization, presents programs throughout the year which include the Annual Fine Arts & Crafts Festival, art exhibitions, art competitions and receptions at Highlands Museum of the Arts, artist studios and artist housing for continued education.
