SEBRING — As Highlands Hammock State Park is currently very busy and winter tourism is peaking, effective this past Tuesday, Feb. 27, another tram tour was added to accommodate park visitors. Trams will depart at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, trams are currently running at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The tram does not run on Mondays.
Tram tickets for adults and youth aged 13 years and older are $10 per person. Tickets for children aged 6 to 12 years old are $5 per person. Children aged 5 years and younger are free. Tickets are sold only at the Hammock Inn Concession. They may be purchased in advance on the day before the tour as well as on the day of the tour. As the tour is one of the most popular activities in the park and tickets tend to sell out quickly, visitors are advised to purchase tickets a day in advance or early on the morning of the tour.
