For years park visitors have enjoyed getting a sweet treat at the Hammock Inn concession within Highlands Hammock State Park. Now open seven days a week, a cooperative relationship between the concessionaire and the Friends of Highlands Hammock ensures all profits remain locally to benefit the park.

Marlene Fritz, operations manager of the store, shared they now offer bagged ice, bundled firewood, charcoal and basic supplies to enhance the camping experience. Prepared sandwiches, ice cream bars, snacks, hot coffee and free Wi-Fi offer day visitors plenty of benefits too.
