LAKE PLACID — “It’s not a done deal, but it’s on its way to being one,” Lake Placid Town Administrator Phil Williams said about a $277,700 grant from Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee. The item was favorably voted on unanimously by RPAC to fund the first part of the project. The funds were requested by the town to make improvements to the Lake June Ball Fields pavilion, paved parking and beach areas. The town will have to come up with $16,500 in matching funds.

The town will approach the Tourist Development Council to cover the $60,000 for the bathroom facility.
