Gas leak calls keep firefighters, gas officials busy

Cameron Menzie with Sebring Gas Systems is taking measurements to determine concentrations of gas in the air after reports of the smell of propane was reported at the Village Fountain Plaza on Saturday.

SEBRING — Flashing lights and first responder vehicles are a common sight at Highlands Regional Medical Center.

However, Friday night, the fire department was responding to a call of the smell of propane gas at the hospital, located at the corner of Highlands Avenue and U. S. 27.
