This stain glass window is in memory of Oliver M. Crosby who deeded the church the land that is presently sits on in 1893.

AVON PARK — She may be old, but she’s got good bones. She has weathered the storms of life and seen some amazing advances in her years. Sure, her exterior is a little rough, maybe a little gray in areas, but anyone’s would be if they stood sentient over a town for 125 years.

Union Congregational Church, better known as Union Church, has been in the center of downtown Avon Park since 1893. The original church and the newer, 750-seat Millennium Church are found at 106 Butler Ave.
