SEBRING — Soon after the Parkland school shooting, the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office announced it would conduct a school shooting training scenario.
At her Town Hall Meeting in Lake Placid on Monday, Superintendent Brenda Longshore said there would be a day of planning and preparation for the training scenario on April 7 with the actual school shooting scenario being conducted on April 14. Both days are Saturdays when school is not in session.
