Johnny Juan Leal, of Lake Placid, died Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2017. He was comforted by his loving family. Johnny was born in Harlingen, Texas on Nov. 19, 1950. He was the son of the late Carolina and Abelino Leal. Johnny has been a Lake Placid resident since 1960. He retired from the Lake Placid Health Care Center as a maintenance person in 2016. Johnny was a member of the St. James Catholic Church. He touched many people in Lake Placid and will be greatly missed.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Corey, Chris, Delila Momon, and Kelsie Yang; and siblings, Nena Gonzalez, Abelino, Frances and Olga Valdovinos. He leaves 11 grandchildren and was blessed with a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends for a viewing from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 at the Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 from the Spanish Mission Church on CR 621. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
