June R. Bullwinkel

June Ruth Bullwinkel (née Mohle), of Milford, New Hampshire, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire at the age of 85.

June was born to parents Frederick and Elly Mohle on Dec. 14, 1932 in Braintree, Massachusetts. She grew up in Gloucester Massachusetts, and later, Queens New York, graduating from Forest Hills High School in 1950.

June married Bernhard A. Bullwinkel in 1957, and the couple had one son, Fred B. Bullwinkel. June was a homemaker in Long Island, New York and Amherst, New Hampshire until her husband retired in 1987. The couple were avid golfers and belonged to Amherst Country Club and Manchester Country Club during their time in New Hampshire.

The couple retired to Sebring, Florida in 1987, where they enjoyed many years playing golf at Sun ‘n Lake. During her time in Sebring, June was a member of the Sun ‘n Lake Improvement District, where for several years, with her dear friend, Madeleine Baxley, she co-organized the district’s Thanksgiving Food Drive and the Happy Tree at Christmas to provide disadvantaged families food and gifts during the holidays. June was also an avid bingo player in both New Hampshire and Florida.

June is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sherry Bullwinkel, and her granddaughter, Kayla Bullwinkel of Milford, New Hampshire, with whom she lived most recently. June is also survived by several dear cousins and their families, as well as many friends in New Hampshire and Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernhard in 2008. June was much loved and will be missed dearly.

June wished to be cremated with no services. The family will hold a celebration of life in the spring for close family and friends. The family is grateful for the condolences, and wishes to thank the staffs at Elliot Hospital, Hillsborough County Nursing Home and the Manchester Visiting Nurse Association.
