Larry A. Lunn, 78, Sebring, Florida, passed away at 7:16 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice, following a very brief cancer diagnosis.
Larry was born on April 25, 1939, in Mitchell, South Dakota. He spent all but his last 15 years in Charles City, Iowa, where he worked at Oliver/White Farm Equipment as a tool & die maker, and then retired from GMT in Waverly, Iowa.
Larry’s passion for the Lord and his servant’s heart were a great combination, allowing him to serve with Gideons International (since 1982) and following retirement, volunteering as a carpenter/project director for MMAPS, where he was able to put his carpentry gifts and talents to use.
He was a longtime golfer, had a passion for playing cards, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Neva Lunn; daughters, Gloria Lunn and Lois LeForge (son-in-law, Gene LeForge); son, Allen Lunn; and three grandchildren, Josh Lunn, Kyle LeForge and Christina LeForge.
A memorial service will be held at the Bible Fellowship Church (3750 Hammock Road, Sebring, Florida) at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to Gideons International or Bible Fellowship Church.
