For well over 25 years I have been using a Franklin Day Planner to keep track of appointments, schedules, and other parts of my life. It is also a great way to look back at the past months/years and see what has happened. When so much is going on and scheduled for the future, it is easy to forget what has transpired. Scanning the calendar pages showed it has been a year like no other. Our social and political events have taken new perspectives. I have but one comment on all that; lets hold “country” above “party” and do what is right for our country.
On a personal level, the year was special, since I “retired” from full time teaching after 45 years. I found the opportunity to spend more time doing the things I enjoy, and have been able to focus on a few specific things I am passionate about. One of the best times this past year was attending EAA AirVenture, aka “Oshkosh” as a volunteer and hosting a “Chapter Camp Site” for EAA chapter 1240.
