Parents and children lined up outside the Highlands County Family YMCA on Saturday evening, waiting for the big event to begin at 6 p.m. ‘Christmas at the Y’ was an event where kids could play games, win prizes, slide down the big slides, make crafts, enjoy the bounce house and even get a picture with Santa.

“This is a big fundraiser for us and a great event for kids in the community,” said Tandy Tyler, with YMCA membership and also the office manager director. “We have a bounce house, slides, candy, toys, games, clowns, Santa and Christmas music. There is so much fun inside with lots of prizes.”
