LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Ballroom Dancers met at the Lake Placid Elks Lounge for their Red and White Christmas Dance on Saturday, Dec. 23. The party began with dinner cooked and served by ladies from The Potter’s House, followed by apple pie and ice cream. After dinner, dancers were able to enjoy a special candy buffet put together by Susie and Larry Lee and their daughter.

Entertainer Chrissy Harriman provided the music for the evening and played selections of Christmas music, old classics and even tango. The dancers cut a rug, all clad in red and white, and were surrounded by beautiful Christmas decorations. After the first set, there were drawings for a variety of different prizes including two tickets to see the Glenn Miller Orchestra, which were donated by the Highlands News-Sun.
