AVON PARK — Forget the boring fundraisers, because the Heart of Highland Show Chorus raised funds with a hilarious game show parody called “Game On” that mixed comedy with beautiful a capella singing. Following the game show, attendees listened to Ladybugs, an award-winning quartet that kept the crowd clapping and requesting an encore performance. The money raised will provide a music scholarship for a high school senior who is pursuing a degree in music.

The game show hosts began by explaining the rules and enticing the contestants with the grand prize — all different cheeses, including Limburger. Miss Hoity Toity, Thelma and Louise competed as game show contestants who fought to be the first one to “name that tune”. Miss Hoity Toity, who owned a very successful bridal company on Park Avenue, felt confident that she would win. However, every time that she hit the buzzer, her answer was wrong. Thelma and Louise, a pair who claimed to be identical twins but looked nothing alike, tied for the winning score.
