SEBRING — On Feb. 25, the Sebring Youth Baseball and Softball Teams had their opening ceremony for the spring season. The games are located at the Max Long Recreation Complex; which the Sebring Elks helped build many years ago, including the aptly named “Elks Field.” These organizations range from ages four thru 14. Traditionally the Sebring Elks Lodge No. 1529 supports youth athletics in the county. Jim and Ronna Mason attended the ceremony and Jim Mason presented a check for $500 for the baseball league to League President Bobby Green. The following Tuesday, Ronna Mason presented a check in the amount of $500 to Mendy Pugh, the softball commissioner.
