AVON PARK — The Avon Park Red Devils girls basketball team was unable to overcome an 11-point first-quarter deficit and suffered their first loss of the season to the Auburndale Bloodhounds by a score of 63-50 on Tuesday night.

The Class 4A Red Devils, who opened the season with a four- game winning streak, fell to 4-1 on the season. The Class 7A Bloodhounds improved to 6-1 on the season.
