SEBRING — Highlands County Veteran Service Officer Carol West serves her country in many capacities.

As a Veteran Service Officer, West primarily assists veterans and their families with filing for veteran benefits. As she proceeds through an interview process, she helps those she serves to access any benefits they may be due. “I am extremely passionate about assisting veterans and their families,” said West, who has been employed with the county for the past 10 years.
