A bill that holds drug dealers accountable for their part in the deaths of users was signed into law Tuesday by Gov. Rick Scott at a press conference at the Sarasota County Emergency Management Center.

So far in 2017, Sarasota County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 185 overdoses that resulted in 27 deaths.
