Florida one of worst in health care

A new study says Florida is 43rd in the nation in health care, with health insurance being a major component of the state’s low grade.

The grade reflects the decision not to participate in the Medicaid expansion provided for in the Affordable Care Act to enhance coverage for those who are eligible — including the elderly.
