By the end of next week, the North Jetty Dock and observation deck will be gone, the victim of two hurricanes tearing it up. The county does not plan to replace it.

One elderly regular at the Camp says that she and others plan to protest Tuesday by lying down on the observation deck.

Lisa Windle, an employee at the Fish Camp, said county officials will be present Tuesday morning at the site to answer questions and that the Fish Camp or The Trolley as it’s known, which has been there since 1947.

After being closed for nearly a year due to safety concerns, the North Jetty dock and observation deck will be permanently removed next week.

Some resident have already say they may lay-down on the dock as a form of protest when the demolition is supposed to start Tuesday.
