When Hurricane Irma forced the closure of the Venice Fishing Pier in September, job No. 1 was to get it open again temporarily, if possible, and job No. 2 was for the City Council to allocate funds to rebuild it.
Both those tasks have been taken care of, so the Council is moving on to job No. 3 next Tuesday — debating whether to impose new rules on its use.
