NORTH PORT — When the North Port Back Pack Angels gather Monday morning to fill bags full of toiletries and other supplies for homeless and other needy children in the city, a local leader is planning on joining them for their November effort.
Sarasota County Commissioner Christine Robinson will be one of several volunteers stuffing approximately 400 bags full of everyday essentials to give to children in North Port schools. Robinson said she’d been reading about the efforts of the Angels — aka the North Port Coalition for Homeless/Needy Children — to help the children.
